What does the fund support?
The Jane and Eva Johansen Fund supports projects and initiatives that help vulnerable children improve their living conditions, as well as projects that promote and ensure animal welfare – both in Denmark and abroad.

What do you mean by ‘promoting and ensuring animal welfare’?
Promoting and ensuring animal welfare means supporting initiatives, activities or organisations that work for the well-being, protection and good living conditions of animals. This could be projects that prevent animal abuse, promote the adoption of homeless animals or improve conditions for farm animals and pets.

What do you mean by ‘vulnerable children’?
Vulnerable children are children who live in difficult circumstances, e.g. as a result of poverty, illness, lack of access to education or social problems.

Who can apply for support?
Individuals, groups, associations, institutions and other organisations can apply for support if their work or project falls within the scope of the fund’s objectives.

How do I apply?
Applications must be sent in writing to the fund with a description of the project and its objectives. Applications can be submitted by sending an email with the application and relevant attachments to the fund’s contact address: kontakt@janeogevajohansensfond.dk

When should I apply?
The Jane and Eva Johansen Fund has no application deadlines. Applications are received on an ongoing basis and are processed twice a year.

What should the application contain?
The application should contain:
1. A brief presentation of the applicant (person/organisation)
2. A description of the project and its purpose
3. A budget and information on how the funds will be used
4. Any timetable and information about other contributors -
Do you support projects in Denmark?
Yes, the fund supports projects in Denmark when they fall within the fund’s purpose of supporting vulnerable children or animal welfare.

Do you support projects abroad?
Yes, the fund also supports projects abroad, especially for the benefit of vulnerable children or animal welfare in developing countries.

How much do you typically support?
The fund supports both large and small projects. The amounts vary according to the nature and needs of the project and can typically range from smaller amounts for individual projects to larger donations to organisations with a broader purpose.

When will I receive a response to my application?
All applications are processed on an ongoing basis at board meetings, which are held twice a year. It may therefore take up to six months before applicants receive a response.

Can I get a tax deduction for my donation?
Yes, the Jane and Eva Johansen Foundation is included on the list of approved associations. You can therefore get a tax deduction for donations to the Jane and Eva Johansen Foundation both as a private individual and as a company.
